Please join us for a cocktail reception in honor of Walt Disney's 114th Birthday! This fantastic fete will be held at Chicago's legendary Logan Theater, one of America's classic movie palaces that Walt Disney family might very well have attended!
This opulent cinema opened in 1915 as The Paramount Theater, just a couple of years before Elias, Flora, Ruth, and eventually Walt Disney returned to The Windy City. Over the last century, it has become an icon of Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, and its most recent renovation returned the theater to its original glory. While enjoying the festivities, you will marvel at the theater's stained glass arch entrance, decorative reliefs and polished marble walls.
Proceeds from this event will support the ongoing restoration of The Walt Disney Birthplace, just under two miles away from The Logan Theater!
Special guest star Floyd Norman, Disney Animation Legend
Floyd is a master storyteller and will share some thoughts about his days working with Walt Disney. Floyd’s career began with Sleeping Beauty in 1959. Since then he’s worked on 101 Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, Robin Hood, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Mulan, Dinosaur, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame for Disney. He also worked on Fat Albert and Sesame Street for television among other projects. Floyd continues to lend his talents to top productions to this very day.
Each guest will enjoy a fantastically entertaining evening steeped in Chicago and Disney family history. V.I.P. attendees will enjoy even more: with your $150 ticket, you will also get your very own dedicated paver stone to be placed at The Walt Disney Birthplace (a $150 value itself) and a special signed keepsake surprise!
And the first 50 people to purchase their tickets will also receive
